Child's "My Plate"

This is a high quality, colorful plate that is appealing to children. The pictures help pre-readers understand the concept. I tried these plates out on my godchildren, ages 6 and 11. They do not eat healthy at home - their diet consists largely of crackers and chips. When visting my house we used the plates and they helped me select fresh fruits and vegatables which we cut up and filled the appropriate sections with, in addition whole grain and protien selections. They had fun, ate healthy foods, and by the time they headed back home (armed with the plates) they were confident that they could help their Mom prepare balanced meals. The only improvement I could suggest would be to make the plate microwave safe.
