Raise community awareness to support safe, happy childhoods by educating people about the dangers of child abuse and steps that can be taken to prevent it. During Child Abuse Prevention Month in April–and all year long–present educational tools and reminders from Positive Promotions that spread the message of protecting children, focusing on positive parenting and keeping kids safe. Provide giveaways and custom gifts featuring our powerful themes No Excuse for Child Abuse, Every Child Matters, and Stand Up For Children, as well as iconic blue pinwheels that are the symbol for child abuse prevention.
During April, Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to celebrate children, support and strengthen families, and rally your community against abuse and neglect. We offer budget-friendly educational and child abuse awareness tools that help everyone do their part to foster safe, healthy upbringings and champion hopeful futures for all children. Make sure to bring attention to the cause all year round, especially for Week Of The Young Child™, April 24-28, 2017, and National Blue Sunday on April 30, 2017.
Decorate and spread the message with our economical Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Pack, as well as grade-specific Educational Activities Books that are a terrific way to communicate sensitive issues to children. There are also informative tools and glancers for parents and educators covering online safety, warning signs of drug and alcohol abuse, ways parents can discipline or praise children, and more. To promote child abuse prevention and safety, Positive Promotions carries year-round giveaways for your community, staff, and volunteers, from lapel pins, stickers, and pens to tote bags and t-shirts. You can distribute these unique child abuse prevention products at schools, PTA/PTO meetings, community centers, health and safety fairs, doctors’ offices, or anywhere children and parents gather.
A popular event for Child Abuse Prevention Month is to plant blue Mylar pinwheel gardens. In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel as the national symbol of child abuse prevention through their Pinwheels for Prevention® program. Symbolizing childhood happiness and whimsy, these awareness pinwheels can be handed out to students, church groups, and members of social service organizations, as a physical and poignant reminder of the bright futures all children deserve. Children especially enjoy creating pinwheel gardens at schools, churches, and elsewhere in the community to bring attention to child abuse prevention.
