The work of medical laboratory workers makes a difference in the healthcare field every day. A time to recognize these essential employees—National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week—was developed over 30 years ago. 	It's Your Day
	Make your facility’s medical laboratory week recognition more personal for those who work in that department. Do this by dedicating a day to the specialties of phlebotomy and medical technology. For instance, designate Tuesday as Phlebotomist Day and Thursday as Medical Technologist Day. Provide workers with a gift highlighting their specialties, such as “Phlebotomists: Dedicated To Excellence” or “Medical Technologists: Committed To Quality” T-Shirts.


	Take A Deep Breath
	Make your National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week all about relaxation and stress relief. Each day, focus on a stress-relief technique, such as deep breathing or stretching.
