Challenge
Find a way to help breast cancer patients after surgery.
Solution
A medical center in the South noticed breast cancer patients were having trouble with their drains after surgery. Drains include tubes that keep fluid from collecting in incision areas, which helps promote healing. A nurse for the medical group thought Positive Promotions’ Lanyards could help. She had the Lanyards personalized with the medical group’s contact information. Patients could clip the Lanyard to their drains and, if any problems occurred, the center’s number would be right there for them to call. Using the Lanyards has been a big hit with cancer patients, the nurse said.
