I am 82 years old and I am retired from public education (middle school). I no longer drive, so 80% of my traveling in Chicago is public transportation. While on public transportation, anyone reading a book, I give them a Bookmark and 101 Achievements or Inventions. I also travel with Mayflower Tours and Fancy Free Holiday, and give some to travel and hotel help. I live in Senior Housing, where during a Black History discussion, I used the Flash Cards. The person with the most correct answers received a "Who Am I" book and an "Obama" book. I give the books and bookmarks all year because history is daily wherever there are living people. Thank you very much for Positive information. Everyone needs and wants to hear some GOOD news. Especially our children and the elderly.

I visited every classroom during the week of Red Ribbon with an age-appropriate drug prevention lesson and I used the reversible "Drug Free", "Bully Free" activity books with the 1st and 2nd grade classes. The content was very developmentally appropriate and made discussing drug prevention to young children an easy task. The students were so excited to receive their own "coloring book" and when they've seen me around school since the lesson they've stopped me to share how they "taught" their parent or older siblings how dangerous smoking and other drugs are with their books.
