Let the fun begin!
Show your staff how much you appreciate them and boost morale by hosting Olympics-style competitions for your great team members. Organize games and activities that highlight the world of medical laboratory professionals and all the important work they do. Make sure to hold opening ceremonies and hand out matching T-shirts for everyone to wear as part of the festivities. Then, reward participants with Positive Promotions products.
LAB COAT DRESS-UP
Let your medical laboratory professionals have a “dress-up day” and show off their artistic skills and personalities by decorating their own lab coats. Have plenty of supplies—buttons, feather boas, stickers, and more—available for them to use.
Once they’ve finished decorating, let them vote on their favorites, and award frst, second, and third place prizes, such as Lapel Pins and Tumblers.
SHARP SHOTS
Play this lab version twist on basketball by handing out 10 round candies such as Lemonheads®, gumballs, or Skittles®, and see how many “baskets” each player can make into a new biohazard dispenser from a few feet away.
Present the person who gets the most treats into the “hoop” a prize, such as Earbuds.
MAKE A LAB MASCOT
Break staff into three or four teams and have them design a cute mascot from everyday items found in the lab, such as beakers and pipettes. Make sure they name the mascot as well. When everyone is fi nished, decide which team has the best creation or let them vote on their favorite.
Reward each person who helped create the winning mascot with a pair of Socks or a Journal. NAME THAT PRICE
Make your own medical laboratory version of the classic game show, The Price Is Right. Have employees guess the sticker prices of different pieces of lab equipment and items in the same format of the popular game show—three people compete at once to guess the prices without going over what the actual price is.
Give the person who racks up the most correct answers a T-shirt.
DON'T SPILL THE SPECIMEN
Put a new spin on a relay race. Start by splitting your medical laboratory professionals up into two teams. Then, fill two specimen cups—one per team—with dyed water and draw a fill-line. Challenge each person on the relay team to speed walk a certain distance without spilling the liquid.
Present Water Bottles to members of the team with the most liquid left in the cup at the end. MAKE YOUR BEST GUESS
HPlay into your medical laboratory professionals’ knack for paying close attention to detail. Fill a glass beaker with jelly beans and encourage each person to guess how many are in it.
Give the person who has the closest guess a Lunch Bag.
